Spanking Machine Maintenance: Keep Your Machine Running for Years

A spanking machine is a precision device with moving parts, motors, and surfaces that touch skin. Treat it like a quality kitchen appliance — clean it, check it, store it properly — and it will outlast every other toy in your collection.

After every session: the 60-second clean

Wipe down impact attachments with a damp cloth and mild, unscented soap. Dry immediately. For silicone heads, a 70% isopropyl alcohol wipe is fine; for leather attachments, use a dedicated leather cleaner — alcohol dries leather out.

Monthly: the deeper check

Once a month, run through the mechanical checks below. Five minutes now prevents a broken arm mid-session later.

Monthly checklist:

  • Tighten the arm pivot bolts to spec
  • Check the impact head for cracks or play
  • Inspect the power cable along its full length
  • Wipe the motor housing with a dry microfibre cloth
  • Test all speeds at low intensity for unusual noise

Lubrication — less is more

Most modern spanking machines use sealed bearings and need no user-applied lubrication. If your model specifies lubrication, use only the type listed in the manual. Generic spray lubricants attract dust and gum up the action.

Storage between sessions

Store in a dry, room-temperature space, ideally in the original case. Avoid garages, attics or anywhere temperature swings cause condensation. If you store attachments separately, keep silicone in cotton bags away from latex — the two materials degrade each other.

In summary

Maintenance is unglamorous, but it is what separates a toy you replace every year from a tool you keep for a decade. A clean machine is also a hygienic one — important when sessions get intimate.
